Pav Bhaji | Snacks Recipe | Maharastrian Food


Pav bhaji is a fast food from India. Contains a thick vegetable curry served with a soft pav.Usually pav bhaji is served with onion and lemon Vegetables in the curry can include potatoes, onions, carrots, peppers, peas, iron peppers, beansand tomatoes. Its origin is in the Maharashtra region.


  • 5 small potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onion 
  • 1 cup extracted cauliflower
  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup minced Carrot (Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Small chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri Chili powder
  • coriander leaves
  • small lemon 
  • Butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Pav


  • First boiled potatos.
  • In another pot take cauliflower,green peas and carrots and boiled them.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add the finely chopped onions. Cook over medium heat for 7-8 minutes until the onions turn pink.
  • Add tomato, ginger garlic paste, pav bhaji masala and kashmiri chili powder. Mix well.
  • Add 2 tbsp of butter. Cook until tomatoes are well cooked.
  • Mashed boiled potato and veggies like smooth paste.
  • Add the mashed potato and veggies.
  • Mix that mashed mixture with all masalas.
  • Add salt and mix well. Add 1 tbsp butter.
  • Cover and cook over medium heat for 7-8 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and mix well. The Pav bhaji is ready to serve.
  • Serve with buttered and roasted pav, chopped onions,lemon and coriander leaves.
